Panic Button helps trusted groups send location-aware safety alerts to one another. It is not an emergency dispatch service and does not replace local emergency services.
We use this information to maintain group membership, send panic alerts, show the sender and location state to recipients, deliver notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging, prevent duplicate alert submissions, and protect the service from abuse. We do not sell personal information and the app does not contain advertising.
Alert data is shared with members of the sender's active group. Firebase provides authentication, database, and notification infrastructure. Optional WhatsApp contact information is included for recipients only when the sender has supplied it. We do not automatically send WhatsApp messages.
Network traffic uses HTTPS. Alerts and invites are configured to expire after 24 hours. Profile, group, device, and membership records remain while needed to provide the service or until an account-deletion request is processed. We retain limited information when required for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
To request deletion of your Panic Button account and associated data, use the contact email shown on the Panic Button Google Play listing. State that you want your Panic Button account deleted and include your display name and Firebase user ID if available. Do not include a location or invite token in the request.
After verification, we delete the user's profile, device registrations, group memberships, alert request records, and any empty group data associated with the account. Active alerts and records needed for another member's service may be retained until they expire or the group is otherwise cleaned up.
For privacy questions or deletion requests, use the developer contact email shown on the Panic Button Google Play listing.
